Sole Hope
http://www.solehope.com
Sole Hope strives to prevent disease, parasites and illness by putting free closed-toe shoes on orphans and others in need in Africa. Sole Hope teaches widows in these communities basic shoe making skills to provide the shoes; this training, along with a sustainable business plan, allows them to provide their family with a reliable source of income. Locally, SoleHope works with men and women who need jobs to support their families by teaching them a trade. This is creating a sense of pride because they are not only changing their future with the income they are making; they are making a quality shoe that protects children's feet.
