Volunteer to help Buncombe County Schools Homeless program organize and maintain their Crisis Closet. Volunteers will sort through donated food, personal care products, and school supplies, and organize them onto shelves and throughout the storage area.
The Crisis Closet was started a number of years ago to meet the needs of the homeless and migrant students and their families in Buncombe county. Driven mostly by donations from the community, items such as food, toiletries, and school supplies are provided for families in crisis. Items are also distributed to schools across the county as needed. Your support will truly help families receive access to basic needs support throughout the year.
Volunteers should wear comfortable, casual clothing, and closed-toed shoes. This project has limited wheelchair accessibility.
