Who We Are
Mission: To help anyone in need with the necessities of life, including providing physical, spiritual, medical, economic, and other necessary aid to victims of poverty, natural disaster, or famine.
Founded in 1992 after Hurricane Andrew struck Florida, Hearts with Hands is an Asheville-based Christian, non-denominational, humanitarian, nonprofit 501(c)3 agency providing disaster relief to individuals in need. Hearts with Hands envisions helping people who have been affected negatively by circumstances beyond their control, relieving suffering, building better community outreach programs, and helping those who are not eligible for assistance by any other agency. Since its beginning, we have responded to almost every major disaster in the United States and abroad.
What We Do
Hearts with Hands provides assistance with food, water, clothing, and other life necessities by:
- Collecting and distributing needed supplies such as nonperishable food items, cleaning supplies, paper products, baby supplies, hygiene kits, and medical supplies.
- Hosting special events such as providing lunch, food boxes, and activities for local students.
