Mission: To start, grow, and expand black business to help revitalize black wall street.
Black Wall Street (BWS) AVL is a Black business incubator to help people turn their ideas into reality and build a supportive community for local Black entrepreneurs. They help them scale their business to revitalize Black Wall Street.
Our project serves people that identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). 100% of our cohort identify as an ethnic minority, 53% had income below the poverty level, 10% were formerly incarcerated, and 20% were previously homeless.
What We Do
BWS AVL utilizes a cohort model for new entrepreneurs of color in order to increase accountability and camaraderie among new business owners. Their cohort model shares the experience of disenfranchised cultures where we discuss those barriers to resources as a common thing – but not an excuse to quit.
