Who We Are

Mission: To enhance the quality of life for all ages by providing an environmentally sound facility for education, recreation, celebration and locally based human service in order to increase opportunity for personal and community growth within our community.

Our Community Club has been around in one form or another for many many years. The Community Center that stands on the grounds now was built in 2002 and has been serving the Big Ivy and surrounding communities since then.

As part of the Big Ivy Community Development, the work of the BICC aims to foster inclusive community participation, providing an environmentally sound facility for education, recreation, and celebration.

What We Do

We serve the local community and surrounding communities in Buncombe and Madison County. We have public grounds as well as public service programs such as our food pantry. We host multiple events and programs throughout the year that are intent on helping our Big Ivy community thrive. Currently, we are supporting the surrounding community with comprehensive needs in response to the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene.
