Who We Are
Mission: To provide essential support, healthy food, and aid to vulnerable communities in crisis.
Grassroots Aid Partnership (GAP) is a nonprofit organization focused on providing food, supplies, and other essential support to communities affected by disasters. Founded by Dr. Dave Anderson and Justin Baker, GAP works as a liaison organization, connecting companies, relief networks, and local grassroots efforts. They ensure that aid reaches vulnerable populations through targeted food distribution and volunteer coordination during times of crisis, such as wildfires, hurricanes, and other disasters.
What We Do
GAP collaborates with various corporate partners like Organic Valley, Dr. Bronner’s, and Nature’s Path to facilitate the donation of goods, ensuring that these products are distributed to communities in need in a timely and organized manner. The organization also helps communities set up their own grassroots relief efforts, guiding local nonprofits on how to mobilize and distribute aid effectively.
One of GAP’s core missions is to reduce waste in disaster relief by ensuring that donations are directly aligned with the specific needs of the community. They aim to prevent unnecessary donations from going unused, which often end up in landfills. GAP’s focus on locally driven solutions makes it a key player in sustainable and compassionate disaster relief.
