Before you even begin thinking about volunteering, ask yourself – Am I well enough to volunteer?
Your safety and limiting the spread of COVID-19 is everyone’s main priority. We encourage you to review and adhere to the recommendations on the Buncombe County readiness site on how best to avoid COVID-19 and what to do if you think you might have it.
Horizons at Carolina Day works to advance educational equity by building long-term partnerships with students, families, communities, and schools to create experiences outside of school that inspire the joy of learning. We partner with Ira B. Jones Elementary, Avery’s Creek Elementary, the YMCA, and other local organizations and schools to support Asheville City and Buncombe County students with summer and school year learning experiences.
