Aurora Studio & Gallery is a supportive art space for individuals who have been impacted by mental health needs, addiction or being unhoused. Its mission is to support healing through the use of the visual arts.
Aurora Studio & Gallery is seeking a Visitor Outreach Volunteer to assist us with fundraising art workshops. We are offering the workshops on Friday afternoons from 2:30 - 4pm in the South Slope area of Asheville. All funds raised will go back into our program, allowing us to continue building healing art communities and friendships for individuals impacted by trauma.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Help staff the door
- Greet and welcome guests
- Participate in workshops (some art experience is helpful, but not necessary)
Time & Location:
Every Friday from 2:30pm-4pm (please plan to arrive by 2:15pm)

Requirements:
- Comfort with groups of people is a must!
Health and Safety:
- We are asking volunteers to wear/bring their own face covering
- We can provide masks and gloves if needed
- Asking volunteers to maintain physical distance of 6 feet or more when possible
- Note: there are times when the volunteer task may require a volunteer to engage closer than 6 feet. Please do not sign up if you feel uncomfortable.
