Delivery Drivers Needed!
Help Equal Plates Project deliver meals to the community!
Equal Plates Project is a local non-profit connecting small, WNC farms, Asheville chefs and our greater community to strengthen our local food system and to share delicious, scratch-made meals with local schools and those facing complex barriers to food access. Meals prepared in our Central UMC Kitchen contain at least 60% local ingredients, including veggies, fruit, eggs, grain and meat and are shared in contexts where people have the chance to gather, break bread and build community.
We are looking for drivers to help deliver the following meals:
1. Meal for Homeward Bound's Compass Point Villages Monday-Friday at 11:30.
2. Meal for Community Night dinners to various local middle and high schools. These opportunities vary but usually require meals to be delivered by 4:30 or 5:00, depending on the location.
3. Meals for Umoja's Hope For the Future afterschool program Monday-Friday at 3:30.
** If you are able to commit to a weekly delivery and have a clean driving record over the past 5 years, we can look into adding you to our delivery van insurance.
