Come Cook for your community!
Equal Plates Project is a local non-profit connecting small, WNC farms, Asheville chefs and our greater community to strengthen our local food system and to share delicious, scratch-made meals with our neighbors facing complex barriers to food access. Meals prepared in our Central UMC Kitchen contain at least 50% local ingredients, including veggies, fruit, eggs, grain and meat and are shared in contexts where people have the chance to gather, break bread and build community.
Our kitchen is currently operating to meet the food needs of our community during this horrific tragedy.Volunteer Responsibilities.
