Born in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the Valley Hope Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit established to provide direct assistance to the families and communities of the Swannanoa River Valley.
Our mission is to restore hope and rebuild lives in North Carolina and surrounding communities by providing vital assistance, fostering community collaboration, and promoting preparedness for future disasters.
The Valley Hope Foundation is seeking volunteers for general warehouse work and supply management. We receive and deliver tons of donations and supplies every week, and need volunteers to help us sort items, pack pallets, count supplies, and clean. The warehouse work helps us feed thousands of families every week, and build a foundation for repair and debris removal projects.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Sorting and organizing supplies & aid
Packing pallets with supplies
Counting inventory
General Cleaning
Requirements:
16+
Skills Required:
Be able to lift 25lbs
Be able to stand for long periods of time
Be able to move, twist, and bend
Communication and teamwork skills
Attire:
Close toed shoes
Comfortable weather appropriate work clothing
