How volunteering works: The opportunity you select on Hands On Asheville lets us know you're interested in serving with ABCCM Crisis Ministry. After you submit your inquiry, our Volunteer Coordinators will contact you to discuss your interests, schedule, and preferred location, then help match you with the best volunteer opportunity.
You are invited to help out at our Crisis Ministry by collecting donated food for our food pantry as we distribute food boxes for those who need them.
Most needed shift is Friday morning, 8:30am - 12:30pm.
Volunteer Requirements:
Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a transit van
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Pick up food donations from multiple locations and bring them to the Crisis Ministry
Weigh the donated food items received
Sort and organize donated food items
Attire:
Every Day Casual, Closed-Toed Shoes
