What you will do:
Each Wednesday, we distribute food and toiletries through our Drive-Thru Food Pantry.
Additional details:
- There are multiple roles: Check-In (1), Packing Perishables (1), and Distribution (2)
- Volunteers work roughly 10:15am -1:30pm
- Roles are active - volunteers are on feet the majority of the time. Lifting boxes involved.
- Check-In role does not involve heavy lifting
- Work is completed outdoors -- in all weather: rain, heat, cold.
- Training and support is provided.
Your impact:
Receiving food and toiletries helps alleviate some financial burden as well as hunger. Families are able to reprioritize limited funds to meet other needs.
Pets are an important part of people's lives. By providing pet food we help ensure people don't have to choose choice between feeding themselves and feeding their pet.
Volunteer Requirements:
To volunteer at Catholic Charities, onboarding is required. This includes a background check and a 1.5 hour training, creating in a volunteer account, and additional food-pantry related trainings.
Volunteers must be 18+ to volunteer alone.
