The AHOPE Day Center, a program of Homeward Bound of WNC, is open year round to provide basic need services such as showers, mail receipt, telephone messages, COFFEE, and limited storage to those experiencing homelessness in our community. AHOPE staff work with homeless individuals and families to learn their housing history and to formulate a plan for their future housing needs.
We're seeking volunteers to assist staff in providing all services. We are specifically looking for volunteers that will commit to service at least one day per month (preferable more). Hours can vary but will be between 7:45a.m. - 3:15pm, Monday through Friday.
Volunteers receive orientation and training. Dress is casual.
