Homeward Bound of WNC is a nonprofit agency working to end the cycle of homelessness. The organization envisions a community where any person who is experiencing homelessness, regardless of characteristics or circumstances, can move directly into service-enriched permanent housing and become a productive member of society.
Homeward Bound of WNC is looking for volunteers to make or purchase sandwiches and baked goods for their clients at AHOPE Day Center. All food preparation will occur at the volunteer's home. Delivery is requested and will be contact-free.
Requirements:
- Please consider your own health before preparing food to share

- Delivery of snacks requested
Types of Sandwiches and Baked Goods Requested (Please keep to the list or stick with similar items):
- Baked muffins or sweet bread - individually wrapped please
- Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches - individually wrapped please
- Trail mix - individually packaged please
- Energy/granola bars
Delivery Details:
- The shift/s you select correlates with the day/time you are available to drop off your items
- Delivery will take place between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Call the volunteer coordinator upon arrival for curbside assistance (additional details upon registration)

Why does this matter? We have to limit the number of people attending each project. This helps everyone stay safe by following COVID-19 specific safety measures. Please understand that if you show up on-site without registering first, you may be turned away so that the agency can maintain safety procedures.
