Weekday Workdays is an initiative to get more volunteers out in the community and help to keep the French Broad River clean! Weekday Workdays will take place every week in the afternoon and will be an extension of our Comprehensive CreekCare program. We will focus on trash removal along rivers and streams, invasive plant removal, native tree planting, storm drain marking and some various other tasks to help us with our day to day operations.
This week on Thursday Feb 4th, we will be cleaning up Thompson St. near Biltmore village. We will meet in the parking lot at 51 Thompson St. at 1pm and work no later that 4pm. RiverLink will provide tools, gloves, bags, and water. Make sure to dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a water bottle.
