At United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, we mobilize and support a robust network of people, partners, and resources to co-create opportunities for every person in our community to live free from poverty and injustice.
We have a BOLD COMMUNITY GOAL that, by 2035, ALL Asheville City and Buncombe County students will graduate from high school ready and fully prepared to pursue their goals and dreams.
As one of 9 community schools supported by United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, Erwin Middle School partners with community organizations to provide students and families with resources, opportunities, and supports for success. Community schools create strong ties among families, students, schools, and the community, while serving as academic and social centers to support innovative learning.
