Who We Are
Mission: To provide essential support such as food, water, clothing, household items, and other supplies to communities in the Appalachian region, especially in times of crisis or disaster.
Appalachian Community Relief is a group of neighbors supporting neighbors in the Black Mountain community and formed in the aftermath of Helene. We are now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and run a no cost grocery store for the community.
What We Do
We continue to provide food, water, & supplies to the greater Swannanoa Valley through our no cost grocery store. Each week, we serve around 200-250 folks in person who are shopping for around 600-800 people in total.
