Who We Are
Mission: To provide essential support such as food, water, clothing, household items, and community connections to neighbors in the Appalachian region.
Appalachian Community Relief is a group of neighbors supporting neighbors in the Black Mountain community that formed in the aftermath of Helene from a parking lot supply distribution site. We are now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and run a no cost brick and mortar grocery store and event space for the community.
What We Do
We run a warm, welcoming, no-cost and client choice grocery store and community space in the Swannanoa Valley. Each month, we provide food & supplies to 2800-3200 of our neighbors across multiple counties in WNC.
