Who We Are
We are a locally owned and operated Non-Profit - our entire team lives here in Western North Carolina. Born in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the Valley Hope Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit established to provide direct assistance to the families and communities of the Swannanoa River Valley and the greater WNC region.
Our mission is to restore hope and rebuild lives in North Carolina and surrounding communities by providing vital assistance, fostering community collaboration, and promoting preparedness for future disasters.
What We Do
Our role is to facilitate ongoing relief to families affected by Hurricane Helene. We coordinate and deliver goods and supplies - food, water, fuel, medical aid, generators and space-heaters. We facilitate reconstruction efforts - providing building supplies and raw infrastructure materials to rebuild homes and roads. In the early days, we were able to provide campers and cars to families who lost everything, so that they may dust themselves off and get back on their feet. We will boost the resilience of our community with ongoing efforts to harden our infrastructure and provide education and material for trauma/first-aid, off-grid local power solutions, and decentralized communications systems. Our mission is to foster unity, provide relief, and help our community to recover.
