Safe Shelter

Who We Are

Safe Shelter's mission is to provide comprehensive shelter and housing services to families and individuals experiencing homelessness in Western North Carolina and the surrounding region, with particular focus on serving families who would otherwise have to separate to seek shelter and those who have historically faced barriers to accessing traditional services. Safe Shelter creates safe, trauma-informed environments that prioritize dignity, stability, and well-being while working toward sustainable housing solutions.

What We Do

Through our multi-disciplinary team, including community health workers and a mental clinician, we provide temporary shelter and housing; case management for access to housing, employment, education, medical care, and any other necessary supplies; mental health care; and advocacy.
