Mission: To connect volunteers with local nonprofit organizations and schools by providing an online platform that makes it easy to find a cause that fits anyone’s interests and schedule.
Flex Projects are convenient, flexible, low-commitment volunteer opportunities that support various nonprofit organizations in Buncombe County. Flex Projects are managed by Hands On Asheville-Buncombe, the volunteer center of United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County.
What We Do
Hands On Flex Projects provide volunteer opportunities that usually take place on evenings or weekends, are often youth and family friendly, and require minimal preparation or training. Hands On Asheville-Buncombe manages Flex Projects by:
- Identifying and registering recurring volunteer projects developed in collaboration with local nonprofit organizations.
- Providing volunteer recruitment through posts of the volunteer projects on the Hands On Asheville-Buncombe website.
- Providing trained Volunteer Leaders to lead and manage volunteers during the Flex Projects.
