Here’s some information that may be helpful before you come...
What you'll be doing:
Every Tuesday, Unete hosts the community attending the Bounty and Soul food distribution. We welcome guests inside our space at Riverside Baptist Church while they wait for their turn to go through the distribution. We serve about 250 families each week, so our space gets filled up quickly.
We need support with multiple tasks for the day, such as organizing traffic, handing out goodies to guests, and keeping our space clean and organized.
While we welcome any volunteer help, we are seeking bilingual volunteers to help us support the large Hispanic population we serve.
Where you'll be working:
You’ll meet with our volunteer coordinator inside the fellowship hall of Riverside Baptist Church, and they will assign you a task. If you are interested in helping control traffic flow, you will be needed outside for the duration of the shift.
*If it is your first time volunteering for this opportunity, please find a team member to help you locate Aneissa Scritsmier. She can help get you started with the needed tasks.
What to Wear:
Dress comfortably for the weather of the day, as our space is not temperature-controlled. Please wear comfortable closed-toe shoes.
