Appalachian Community Relief is moving to a new location in Black Mountain! Our current site at the Ingles Garden Center will close after January 31st. We need help with clean up, packing, and moving items on Saturday February 1st!
NOTE: This opportunity is OUTDOORS, however in a covered area. Please plan for the weather for the day.
We are located at the Black Mountain Point of Distribution (POD) at the Ingles Garden Center in Black Mountain.
Must be 18+ year old to volunteer on your own. Minors welcome if accompanied by an adult.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Sorting and packing items
- General cleaning (sweeping, trash removal)
- Loading trucks
Requirements:
- Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before your shift
- Comfortable with bending, lifting, walking, pushing/pulling
- Ability to stand for long periods
Attire:
- Wear layers easy to move in
- Wear close-toed shoes
Location: Black Mountain Ingles Garden Center 550 NC-9, Black Mountain 28711, Pull in at the entrances nearest to the gas station.
