Appalachian Community Relief is a neighbor-led effort supporting Western North Carolina through a no-cost grocery store that provides food, water, and essential supplies.
We will be receiving a large shipment of goods to distribute in our free store and need extra hands on deck to help unload and organize.
Requirements
- Volunteers must be 18+ to participate independently.
- Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled shift.
- Volunteers should be comfortable with bending, lifting, walking, pushing/pulling, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Due to the dynamic nature of our work, including fluctuations in deliveries and shopper volume, some shifts may end earlier than scheduled based on operational needs.
Volunteer Amenities
- Please bring your own lunch.
- A refrigerator and freezer are available for volunteer use.
Attire
- Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in.
- Closed-toe shoes are required.
