Interested in spending quality time tutoring Asheville Middle School students during Homework Diners? Volunteer as a tutor! Volunteers spend time working with students and their families on homework support helping them to problem-solve and learn skills that support their academic development.
**Special need for math tutors!
Homework Diners are weekly family engagement events that will take place on Tuesday evenings in the Asheville Middle School cafeteria.
Students and families will receive a free meal along with tutoring support and help with homework from trained teachers and volunteer tutors. Homework Diners are open to any family in the Asheville city community, whether they have a child attending the school or not. Attendees will also have the chance to learn about community resources and take advantage of a variety of educational programs at these events.
Ages 15 and up. All youth ages 17 and under are required to bring a youth waiver to this project.
