Haywood Street Congregation has set out to be a community that favors the city’s outskirts, lavishes the dinner table with folded napkins and flower bouquets, and prioritizes an individual’s inherent worth over their status.
We are looking for people to help deep clean on Thursday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm for our Wednesday downtown welcome table meal. By cleaning our dining rooms, kitchen, and food storage areas, we can provide a quality environment for our weekly meals.
Skills Required:
- Positive and compassionate customer service skills
- Willingness to work with and be in community with folks struggling with mental illness, substance use, homelessness
- Ability to remain standing for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
Attire:
- No requirements. Comfortable clothes and shoes recommended.
- No storage for miscellaneous items i.e. purses, etc.
