United Way of Asheville Buncombe County is excited to be one of the charity partners for iDaph Events Asheville Marathon & Half one March 15, 2025!
We are looking for volunteers to host a United Way water station for up to 4 hours on Race Day, Saturday March 15 from 7:30am-11:30am. As long as you can join us for 2+ hours, we'd love to have you join, just specify in the comments!
Youth welcome if accompanied by an adult.
Since 2011, iDaph Events has been creating and curating running, cycling and multi-sport events in Western North Carolina. This year the Asheville Marathon & Half is back this year with a new perspective, renewed purpose, and a story like no other.
As one of Asheville Marathon & Half's charity partners, UWABC is hosting a water station for 4 hours on race day and will receive $500 donation for recruiting volunteers to support the station. This donation will support the incredible work of our community schools and U4Y partners as we continue to support students, families, and the long term recovery efforts of communities bouncing back from Helene.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
Set up the UWABC tents, tables, and signage at the designated site
Passing out water to runners
Encouraging and cheering runners on as the race
Clean up throughout the shift
Attire:
Wear a Live United T-shirt, if you do not have a Live United shirt one will be provided for you.
Fun costumes are encouraged!! It's all about the team spirit!!
