We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out in the Verner Experiential Garden! We have some exciting projects coming up—we’ll be planting native wildflowers, building an outdoor chalkboard, painting, weeding, and removing invasive species! Whether you have a green thumb or just enjoy being outdoors, your time can help keep our garden thriving and make it a magical learning space for our little ones!
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Planting Native Wildflowers
- Building Outdoor Chalkboard
- Painting
- Weeding
- Removing Invasive Species
Requirements:
- Liability wavier will be completed at time of volunteering.
Skills Required:
- Must be able to stand on uneven ground
- Ability to bend up and down often
Attire:
- Comfortable closed-toe shoes

Verner Center for Early Learning, 2586 Riceville Rd. Asheville, NC
The garden is located behind Outward Bound. The easiest way to get to the garden is going through the lower parking lot and following the trail. There is a sign that says Verner Experiential Garden at the beginning of the trail.
