Born in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the Valley Hope Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit established to provide direct assistance to the families and communities of the Swannanoa River Valley.
Our mission is to restore hope and rebuild lives in North Carolina and surrounding communities by providing vital assistance, fostering community collaboration, and promoting preparedness for future disasters.
The Valley Hope Foundation is seeking volunteers for aid and food distribution in our Black Mountain Warehouse. Each week we process and distribute food to between 5,000 and 8,000 families impacted by Hurricane Helene - and we need your help! Come help us sort pallets of food and produce, and serve it to the public. Our weekly scheduled volunteer hours are Tuesday from 10:00Am-3:00pm, with ample flexibility! We would love for you to come for all or part of a shift - just let us know your schedule and we can work to accommodate you.
