Center for Participatory Change (CPC) builds collective power and leadership in Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and other People of Color communities in WNC through cultural exchange, healing spaces, and grassroots organizing.
We are seeking hands-on volunteers to help us deliver resource bags filled with supplies and wellness items to schools, family homes, libraries, and other community hubs. Volunteers will support our effort to spread care and connection while helping CPC strengthen relationships and show compassion in the community.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Pick up and deliver supply/resource bags to designated community sites
Maintain respectful and friendly interactions with community members and partners
Communicate with CPC staff regarding delivery updates or issues
Assist with organizing or packing supplies, if needed
Requirements:
Personal transportation to delivery sites
Ability to follow delivery instructions and communicate with CPC staff clearly
Active drivers license
Skills Required:
Positive and compassionate customer service skills
Ability to work independently and follow directions
Comfortable navigating to different community locations
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
Attire:
Close-toed shoes
Comfortable clothing suitable for driving and light lifting
No visible offensive graphic or language on clothing

Delivery locations will vary (local to Buncombe County and surrounding areas)

Masks are optional- Please bring your own if needed
Hand sanitizer/gel/Bathroom is available on site
Volunteers must stay home if experiencing symptoms of illness
