Delivery Drivers Needed!
Help Equal Plates Project deliver meals to the community!
Equal Plates Project is a local nonprofit that purchases from small farms at fair prices, transforms their quality ingredients into nourishing meals, and partners with community organizations to share thousands of meals each week with neighbors facing complex barriers to food access.
Delivery info:
Deliver meals for Salvation Army MWF at 2:45pm and TH at 2pm for Umoja and Salvation Army. You will receive address and instructions upon pick up.
**If you choose to use your own vehicle, we will reimburse for gas.
**Trucks, vans, stations wagons and hatchbacks are preferred as you will need to transport between 2 and 6 styrofoam coolers that measure 15"x17"x24".**
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Help load meals into your personal vehicle
Deliver meals to destination at the required time and unload into receiving space
Present delivery ticket to destination kitchen staff, as required
Requirements:
Orientation: to be completed before you begin your first shift
Signed liability waiver: can be completed on site before your first shift
Reliable transportation **see note above about vehicles**
Valid Driver's License
Must agree to maintain privacy of community members
Skills Required:
Promptness to ensure meals are delivered on time
- Ability to lift 25-30 lbs
- Positive attitude

- 315 Old Haw Creek Rd.
- Look for white Equal Plates Parking signs with arrows at the driveway past the sanctuary and purple free pantry.
- Park in any of the spots available.
- Enter in the door by the large white walk in cooler. It has an Equal Plates sign on the window.
