AM, PM Safe Haven Emergency Shelter Volunteer (copy)

ABCCM Transformation Village provides up to 100 beds of transitional housing for homeless women, mothers with children, and Veterans. Additionally, they are now operating a 34+ bed emergency shelter called Safe Haven.

Shifts are 8AM-11AM, 11AM-2PM, 2PM-5PM, 5PM-8PM

Training and emergency contact numbers will be provided and you would be paired with an experienced staff member. 

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Supervise guests (ensure rules are being followed, gather meals, lead activities, etc)

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be sensitive to the needs of those needing our help
• Available to handle crisis (ie. the need to call Police or EMS)

Skills Required: 

• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner

• Calm presence and demeanor

• Supervisory
