ABCCM Transformation Village provides up to 100 beds of transitional housing for homeless women, mothers with children, and Veterans. Additionally, they are now operating a 34+ bed emergency shelter called Safe Haven.
Shifts are 8AM-11AM, 11AM-2PM, 2PM-5PM, 5PM-8PM
Training and emergency contact numbers will be provided and you would be paired with an experienced staff member.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Supervise guests (ensure rules are being followed, gather meals, lead activities, etc)
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be sensitive to the needs of those needing our help
- Available to handle crisis (ie. the need to call Police or EMS)
Skills Required:
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Calm presence and demeanor
- Supervisory
