How volunteering works: The opportunity you select on Hands On Asheville lets us know you're interested in serving with ABCCM Crisis Ministry. After you submit your inquiry, our Volunteer Coordinators will contact you to discuss your interests, schedule, and preferred location, then help match you with the best volunteer opportunity.
You are invited to help out at our Crisis Ministry by organizing our food pantry and creating food boxes for those who need them.
Shifts are generally Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-12:30PM or 12:30PM-4:30PM but we will gladly work with your schedule.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Sort and stock donations (food, hygiene items, clothing, household goods).

Check expiration dates and ensure food safety standards are met.

Assemble food boxes for distribution.

Restock shelves and organize pantry areas to keep them tidy and accessible.

Monitor inventory and report low-stock items to staff or the coordinator.
