United Way ABC brings people, partners and resources together to improve lives and tackle our community's toughest challenges. One way we do this is through one of our two impact areas, Youth Opportunity.
Help support one of our community schools by packing soup kits for families in the Reynolds school district. On, DATE TO BE DETERMEINDED
These meal bags will support families who were deeply affected by Hurricane Helene, and who need to know that their community beyond WNC is thinking about them, especially in light of the recent first year mark of the storm and the upcoming holidays. Each Meal Bag will include ingredients to make White Chili, cornbread muffins, and homemade hot cocoa.
Students from the Reynolds Middle School Cooking Club, will be writing handwritten notes to go in each of the Meal Bags.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Stencil canvas bags with paint
Pack meal bags with ingredients for chili, cornbread and hot chocolate
Attire:
- Comfortable Clothes
- For volunteers who want to stencil with acrylic paint, please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
