United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County invites you to join us for a Day of Connection on Sunday, December 14th, 2025, from 12 PM – 4 PM with Read 2 Succeed Asheville/Buncombe (R2S) at the Arthur R. Edington Center (133 Livingston St, Asheville, NC 28801).
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the magic of the holidays, promote literacy, and support the impactful work of Read 2 Succeed. At United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, we mobilize and support a robust network of people, partners, and resources to co-create opportunities for every person in our community to live free from poverty and injustice.
We have a BOLD COMMUNITY GOAL that, by 2035, ALL Asheville City and Buncombe County students graduate from high school ready and fully prepared to pursue their goals and dreams.
As a United for Youth (U4Y) Partner, Read 2 Succeed (R2S) has committed to the Bold Community Goal by working to ensure that all children are capable, brilliant, and supported in becoming confident, joyful readers. Through partnerships with families, schools, and volunteers, R2S helps K–5 students across Asheville and Buncombe County discover the joy and power of reading.
