The American Red Cross, the largest humanitarian organization in the world, is looking for volunteers to support our Flood Preparedness Home Visit Program. The program provides important information to organizations and families about preparing for future flood events. Training provided.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Join a Red Cross employee or volunteer assisting with training non-profit organizations on flood preparedness in the Hurricane Helene impacted counties.
Join organizations on home visits as they help families prepared for future flooding events.
Promote awareness of Red Cross services and volunteer opportunities
Requirements:
- Committed to at least 3-5 volunteer hours per week
- Personal Transportation - ability to drive to various locations with the County. Willing to consider assignments outside of the County
Skills Required:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
