Volunteers are matched with a student at one of three local after-school sites for one hour/week of mentoring during the school year. After-school staff refer students who need additional support and encouragement. Volunteers participate in activities that reinforce academics, such as reading and multiplication flash cards, as well as confidence-building and social skill-building activities, such as games, art, and puzzles. BBBS provides training and activity supplies at the site.
