YMCA Afterschool Middle School Activity Assistant

Volunteer with the YMCA Horizons Afterschool Program! The program supports Enka, Erwin, Owen, Cane Creek, North Buncombe, Valley Springs, and Reynolds Middle Schools and Enka Intermediate. . The 21st Century program offers a variety of activities with student input and student choice in areas of recreation, arts, service & technology. The Activity Assistant volunteers in the enrichment classes offered by Horizons. The assistant provides support for the teachers and YMCA staff, encouraging youth and helping them with their activities. Minimum of one hour a week preferred. Weekly, for a duration of 7 weeks. Day depends on enrichment activity. Between the hours of 4:30-5:30pm. Activity lasts 1 hour, must arrive no later than 10 minutes prior for set up.
