Weekday Workdays is an initiative to get more volunteers out in the community and help to keep the French Broad River clean! Weekday Workdays will take place every week in the afternoon and will be an extension of our Comprehensive CreekCare program. We will focus on trash removal along rivers and streams, invasive plant removal, native tree planting, storm drain marking and some various other tasks to help us with our day to day operations.
This week on Wednesday Feb. 17th, we will be doing a cleanup along Lyman St. We will meet at 1pm at the RiverLink Offices and work no later that 4pm. RiverLink will provide tools, gloves, bags, and water. Make sure to dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a water bottle.
You can park in the Wedges dirt lot on the other side of the train tracks for this event.
