Do you want to make sure that local children have enough to eat this summer? Then help us accept food donations at the WLOS News 13 Break the Hunger food drive on FRIDAY, JUNE 8th anytime between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM in the parking lot of Carolina Furniture Concepts 100 Airport Road in Asheville NC.
You will be greeting people as they drop off food items in their cars, sorting food and packing it into boxes. You may even have a chance to appear on WLOS News 13!!!!!
This is a family friendly event, so bring the kids and teach them about food security issues that children in our community face every day! There will be drinks and snacks provided for volunteers as well as a sense that you are making our community stronger.
