Help out at historic Shiloh Community Garden!
The projects will revolve around property maintenance, including laying mulch on the pathways and doing invasive species removal around the garden properties creek, called the Little Branch Stream, where we have an ongoing habitat restoration project, and maybe a little work prepping the garden beds for the next growing season.
We ask that the volunteers bring gloves if they want them, and potentially more shovels if they are available, since we only have so many to offer.
We can accept volunteers of any age, although those under 18 should volunteer alongside a guardian for supervision.
We will be providing hot chili, and will make sure it is vegetarian in case of any dietary restrictions.
In case of bad weather the service day will be cancelled and we will be holding a documentary screening at Rock Hill Church, right up the road! If the weather gets bad while we are working then we can also go up to the church to warm up and eat chili!
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon!
