Join Energy Savers Network team for the second Blitz event in a mobile park on Reddick Street in Asheville, NC 28805. We will be applying simple energy-efficiency measures to help the tenants to reduce their energy use. At Energy Savers Network we believe that socioeconomic problems and climate change go hand in hand. The community we serve is in great need of our assistance. The struggle with high utility bills, cold and unsafe living conditions. By mobilizing of volunteers, we try to address these problems. The measures we apply are pretty simple plus our project leaders go over them at the project site. These measures include but not limited to:
Installation of LED light bulbs
Installation of low-flow water fixtures (shower heads and aerators)
Weatherstripping doors
Sealing ducts with mastic (duct sealant)
Insulation of water heaters and water pipes
Insulation of window AC units with foam board
Installation of washable filters on furnaces
etc.
Tasks will vary from home to home.
