Volunteer with food pickup with ABCCM Crisis Ministry!
Many of our neighbors live paycheck to paycheck, making difficult choices on a daily basis between rent, utilities, food, health care, day care and so much more. An unexpected expense can throw these families into financial crises. When that happens, people turn to the ABCCM Crisis Ministry for help. This ministry serves the low-income citizens of Buncombe County who are facing financial emergencies and are struggling to meet life's basic needs.
ABCCM South is seeking a volunteer to help with weekly food pick-ups from restaurants and grocery stores. Currently, there is one pick-up three times per week from Starbucks and a pick-up from a grocery store that is twice per week.
The Crisis Ministry is looking for volunteers to help with our grocery store pick-up, on Mondays & Fridays at 7:45 am. This is an excellent opportunity for an early riser who has transportation to pick-up food and drop it off at our South location.
