Homeward Bound of WNC is a nonprofit agency working to end the cycle of homelessness. The organization envisions a community where any person who is experiencing homelessness, regardless of characteristics or circumstances, can move directly into service-enriched permanent housing and become a productive member of society.
Homeward Bound of WNC is looking for volunteers to assist in preparing AHOPE Day Center for the next phase of renovations by moving everything into storage pods.
Requirements:

- This opportunity requires moderate to heavy lifting, bending, stooping and twisting
Details:
- Volunteers will assist in moving items off of the main floor of AHOPE Day Center and into storage pods in preparation for the next phase of building renovations.
- Volunteers are welcome to sign up for one two-hour shift, or multiple shifts if they're able!
- AHOPE Day Center is located at 19 N. Ann Street in downtown Asheville.
Health and Safety:
- All volunteers are required to wear a mask or face covering during their shift.
- Hand sanitizer and hand washing stations provided. Masks available upon request.
- Closed-toe shoes required.

Why does this matter? We have to limit the number of people attending each project. This helps everyone stay safe by following COVID-19 specific safety measures. Please understand that if you show up on-site without registering first, you may be turned away so that the agency can maintain safety procedures.
