In partnership with Capstone Health and Barnes and Noble, United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County is hosting a Holiday Book Drive to put new books into the hands of area elementary, middle, and high school students during the holiday break. Donors are encouraged to choose from a list of books focused on culturally diverse authors and characters. All donated books will be distributed to programs serving diverse, underserved communities throughout Buncombe County.
This year donations can be made online or individuals can shop in-person at Barnes and Noble on Tunnel Rd. All books will be picked up from Barnes and Noble weekly and delivered to a list of partners for student distribution.

*NOTE: United Way is NOT accepting in-person donation of books. All books must be purchased new at Barnes and Noble and left in the donation boxes inside their store or funds must be donated to United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County on their website.
