Before you even begin thinking about volunteering, ask yourself – Am I well enough to volunteer?
This holiday season, Asheville High School and SILSA found sponsors to provide Christmas Gift assistance for 200 students.
Volunteers are needed on December 20, 2022 from 12:30-5 pm to help distribute gifts to students! Working with other volunteers and staff, students will be checked in as they arrive. Volunteers will assist in getting the correct items to each student.
Requirements:
- Must attend a training session from 12:30-1:00 pm
Skills Required:
- Positive and compassionate customer service skills
- Ability to remain standing for long periods
- Bending and lifting items will be required
Attire:
- Since you will be moving around in an active manner, make sure to wear comfortable clothes
- For safety, close-toed shoes will be required
- Clothes must be neat in manner with no visible holes or tears
