Social impact organizations like United Way have a role to play in confronting climate change, and we’re excited to have worked with the Green Built Alliance and Blue Ridge Power to install solar panels on our headquarters on South French Broad in downtown Asheville.
Before you begin thinking about volunteering, ask yourself – Am I well enough to volunteer?
We need volunteers to help us running this event by making sure guests find parking easily and are checked in quickly.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Direct traffic and oversee the parking lot area
- Checking in guests and giving out name tags
Skills Required:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to remain standing/walking for about 2 hours
Attire:
- Casual, black pants/shirt preferred
- Comfortable, close-toed shoes
Location:
- 50 South French Broad Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
Health and Safety:
- Masks are optional, must bring your own if you need one
