Charles D. Owen Middle School is a middle school in the Buncombe County School System serving students in sixth through eighth grades. The mission of Owen Middle School is that students will explore their unlimited potential, the interconnectedness of social and digital existence, their roles in a global society, and the rich heritage of the Swannanoa Valley.
As a community school supported by United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, Owen Middle School partners with community organizations to provide students and families with resources, opportunities, and support for success. Community schools create strong ties among families, students, schools, and the community while serving as academic and social centers to support innovative learning.
The United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County is excited to invite you to join us for a Day of Connection at Owen Middle School (OMS) on July 23rd from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together, give back to the community, and support the students of OMS.
