The City of Asheville is seeking volunteers to assist with the deployment of emergency supplies at several established sites across our community.
Volunteer Responsibilities (these are a sample, volunteer needs will fluctuate):
Loading and unloading vehicles
Moving supplies
Sorting, organizing, and packaging supplies
Requirements:
Must be 18+
Ability to lift at least 25lbs
Comfortable with bending, stooping, walking and twisting
Adhere to safety measures
Ability to stand for long periods
Attire:
Wear appropriate protective gear (gloves, masks, sturdy shoes)
Location: Asheville Middle School, 211 S. French Broad Ave, Asheville
Health and Safety:
Meals are provided
Limited cell phone and WIFI access
